The future?
My plans for this project do not stop here...I'd like to continue in other locations, and display these modes of communication in their originals space, as well as let them speak across locations. Please feel free to give input on any of the aspects of this idea. Where do you want it to go?
Locations of Project:
Swope Park: pavilion
Mill Creek Park: bench
39th and Troost: Bus Depot
Loose Park: bench
39th and Main: bus stop
Kansas City Art Institute: Cafe Nerman
UMKC Art Department
Brookside Coffee
Welcome
This a project that is being done by a student at the Kansas City Art Institute. The goal of this project is to simply spark moments in everyday life where creativity can be channeled. The audience for this work is not only the institution, but anyone in our community. Hopefully this can be one place where stereotypes, expectations, and rules can be broken. Feel free to express yourself with these boxes and this site, anonymously or not.

It seems as if a group of young boys filled up the camera before many others could participate. One day when checking on the box, I pulled up to the main pavilion where it was stationed and there was a group of men sitting in the entry way. Though I want to be anonymous to the external community with this piece, they asked me to have a conversation with them. I explained what to do with the box and where I came from and they seemed very interested in it. Most of the questioned filled out were by those men. My favorite part of the whole experience was that they gave me some of the best feedback on the experiment and backed the dissolution of social boundaries that this project hopes to pin-prick.
